"Yoink! I'll be taking that! And that! Ooh, don't mind if I do!"

Thieves are petty yet crafty criminals who can't keep their hands to themselves. You were forcefully given a pacifism implant after your last arrest, but you won't let that stop you from trying to add to your collection.

Art of the Steal

Unlike other antagonists, staying out of trouble is almost a requirement for you because of your implant. You can only run if Security picks a fight with you, and because you work alone you don't have any friends to pull you out of danger.

But against all odds, you'll sucessfully swipe what you want using determination, sleight of hand, a few tools and your pickpocketing skills.

The pickpocketing skills you have give you a major advantage: the ability to take things from people without them even noticing. With a little practice you can steal their wallet and keep up a conversation at the same time.

It is advised to get a pair of gloves as your fingerprints could still be traced back to the stolen goods if they're found.

Tools of the Trade

You've got two more aces up your stolen sleeves: your beacon and your satchel.

Your beacon provides safe passage home for trinkets that may not be easy to carry with you on the evac shuttle. Simply find a secluded part of the station to unfold the beacon, then set its coordinates to your hideout. Any shinies near it will be teleported to your vault when the shift ends, fulfilling your objectives.

However, this will instantly out you if found and make it extremely easy for people to reclaim their "missing" possessions. Make sure to hide it well!

Your satchel contains... well, whatever you remembered to pack. You can select two pre-made kits to help you complete grander heists.

Anatomy Kit

  • Storage Implanter
  • DNA Scramble Implanter
  • Syndicate Lollipop
  • Ephedrine Bottle
  • Empty shaker
  • Omega soap

Enables you to be very safe in nearly any scenario. Use the storage implanter to hide loot and gear during a search, the ephedrine bottle for 25% increased speed and some stun resistance, which combined with the long slip duration from omega soap can enable to you lose Security Officers chasing you. After you escape, use the DNA scrambler to disguise yourself as a totally new person. Be aware that your ID card may give you away if you keep it and can't come up with a good excuse!

Breacher Kit

  • 2x C4
  • Multitool
  • Remote Signaller
  • Jaws of Life
  • Advanced Industrial Welder
  • Meson Goggles
  • Insulated Gloves

Everything in this bundle, with the exception of the C4, can be acquired on the station itself, feel free to ask for, (or steal!) all the tools in here from your fellow crewmembers instead of using a slot on this. Can be useful for getting someplace open quickly, without needing to gather tools first, although generally the access breaker can do that better and with more, harder to replace, items.

Chameleon Kit

  • Backpack with entire set of Chameleon Clothing (spawns separate from the satchel, make sure to have a free hand!)
  • Chameleon Projector
  • Agent ID

The agent ID allows you to set your name, job title, and Job Icon to whatever you want, as well as copy all accesses from any ID card you use it on. While equipped, chameleon clothes can be set to look like any other set of clothing item in the same slot. Use these to steal IDs, copy their accesses, and appear like you belong somewhere to get close to your objectives.

Syndie Kit

  • Emag
  • Authentication Disruptor
  • Packet of Interdyne Herbals (10x 30u omnizine Cigarettes)
  • Syndicate Codeword
  • Radio Jammer
  • Novelty Lighter Mystery Box
  • 50x Telecrystals

A wonderful set, lets you get nearly anywhere on station with the authentication disruptor opening doors, consoles, and lockers, opens up a lot of new possibilities with the emag, and potentially letting you meet a syndicate friend with the codeword, as well as befriending them or asking for a favor with the 50 telecrystals for their uplink. Remember you are pacified, and they may be tempted to take them by force...

Interdyne herbals give you good healing when smoked, getting you out of crit and possibly letting you survive an encounter with hostile mobs that you cant fight back against.

Sleeper Kit

  • Nitrous Oxide Tank (Causes Sleepiness when inhaled, except to Yowies, Slimes, and IPCs
  • 2x Nocturine Bottles (Causes sleepiness when injected or consumed, except to Yowies)
  • Hypopen

Not for Beginners, enables you to put people to sleep by using the injector disguised as a pen and the two bottles of nocturine. Afterwards, you can stick the nitrous oxide tank and a mask on them to keep them sedated for longer, if need be (make sure to turn on their internals).

Communicator Kit

  • Station Master Encryption Key
  • Cybersun Pen (enables editing stamped papers)
  • Voice Chameleon Mask
  • Briefcase
    • Flash-Proof Sunglasses
    • 20,000 Spesos
    • Shock-Proof Combat Gloves

A kit that allows you to cause some chaos and confusion, as well as keep tabs on the station by having access to every radio channel. Try using the spesos to bribe someone, or the cybersun pen to turn a stamped approval into an approval for whatever you want.

Smuggler Kit

  • Fulton Beacon
  • 10x Fultons
  • 3x Smoke Grenade
  • Invisible Crate

Fultons and Fulton beacons can be obtained from cargo, however the invisible crate is very useful for hiding larger items that can't fit in the burglar satchel you spawn with. The smoke grenades can be used for causing confusion, a distraction, or going into or out of somewhere without being spotted.

Place down the Fulton beacon, alt+click it or right click and press "unfold." Then, use the Fultons on the beacon. Attach them to any crate with left click to bring it to the beacon after 45 seconds. Be aware this makes a sound, and it is visible on the crate during those 45 seconds.

Centerpiece of the Collection

Your kleptomania will take you places. One day, you'll feel like stealing a few figurines. Another day, you'll feel like stealing an industrial machine.

No matter. They'll all be a part of your collection within a matter of time.

You can steal items by having them on your person when you get to CentComm. Failing this, you can steal larger items by leaving them by your beacon.

Some of the more animate objectives may not cooperate with you. Make sure they're alive and with you or your beacon when the shift ends.
